Our Purpose

The St. Sebastian Booster Club is dedicated to giving our student athletics the best sports programs in CYO , The Booster Club manages and maintains CYO sports in cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. We also provide funding and support for several intramural programs, including our long standing summer baseball program, I league basketball and fall soccer programs for pre K-4. We provide 100% funding for the sports programs at St. Sebastian and our we fully involve our volunteers –we are NOT pay to play as it has been since 1954.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Sebastian Booster Club is to promote the Catholic faith through our service to the youth of our parish community. Through Teamwork, our purpose is to develop our your people spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally and morally, which encouraging them to be active members of our parish community.

Our Bylaws require us to focus on two (2) areas – fundraising and volunteering to support our programs

Fundraising – please keep in mind that

· Our pancake breakfasts are held on the second Sunday of each month, September through May, staffed by our student athletes, supporting parents and dedicated volunteers.

· We are proud of our 13^th Annual Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament

· We also raise money through concessions, other fundraisers, raffles and anything else that assist us in getting to that magic number!!

Volunteers

• Volunteers help us get our fund raising and 100% support of our teams and facilities
• Our program is not pay to play, it requires 100% participation of our parents through teamwork, group dynamics and understanding that our volunteer efforts assist our student athletes and intramural program players in participating in sport!

News, Updates and Notes:

• 1^st Annual Thank You Barbeque (RAIN OR SHINE) is scheduled for this Saturday, May30 from 12 – 6 PM at the picnic overhang. Picnic is a THANK YOU to all the volunteers that have helped to make this year a success! Games, food and fellowship – come join in the fun! RSVP – bsqurdehs@comcast.net or your team parent for info!
• Next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for Monday June 15 at 7PM Church Meeting Room (summer activities, prep for fall, elections)
